Birth Control Centre

Confidential services offered include: Counselling, information, referrals for contraction, pregnancy (planned or unplanned), safe sex options, and testing. 

Drop in and Virtual appointments are available. A support person is welcome to attend. Service providers include doctors and registered nurses.

Gianna Centre

Catholic Social Services program, focusing on non-judgemental information, support, and advocacy for unplanned or crisis pregnancies

Services include: Pregnancy tests, 

referrals (pro-life doctors, financial and housing, or post abortion counselling), maternity and baby supplies, classes for new/expecting mothers, holistic sex ed, and partnerships across Alberta. 

Appointments are available Mon-Fri 9am-3pm, walk-ins are welcome.

Pregnancy Care Centre

Free and confidential services and accurate information about pregnancy options. The Pregnancy Care Centre offers services in the following area: Unexpected pregnancy, abortion recovery, sexual health, and healthy teen relationships. They are not a medical clinic, but provide resources and information

STI Clinic

Assessment, diagnosis, testing, and treatments for Sexually Transmitted Infections.

The STI Clinic provides: diagnosis and treatment in an inclusive environment, testing or vaccines for participating individuals, contact tracing, emergency contraceptive, harm reduction supplies, counselling, education, referrals, and more.

Women's Health Options

Services include: abortion, birth control,

endometrial biopsy, counselling, STI or Pap smears, ultrasounds, education, and Gardasil vaccines. Decision-making, aftercare, and emotional supports are available.

YWCA Edmonton

Offer support for 9,000 women and families annually. Programs include: Camp Yowochas, counselling, disability services, girls counselling, GirlSpace, and Lakeside Haven.

The Rose Campaign is an annual national advocacy campaign aiming to end gender-based violence.

Kids Kottage

Children under 10 are kept safe for 72 hours during parental crisis's. Less than 3% of parents that access Kids Kottage Crisis Nursery need government intervention.

24/7 crisis line: 780-944-2888.

Follow-up support for parents after a crisis scenario is available through home, office, or community visits.

The Basic Shelf Program is 12 weeks of workshops teaching affordable, nutritious meals with a provided food hamper. Book an appointment or access Basic Shelf Program at 780-448-1752.

Starfish Family Resources

Supporting parents and children through separation and divorce with peer-support.

The Next Chapter is an 8 week, 16 hour online or in-person program ($99) for any Edmonton area parent experiencing a separation. 

Rainbows is a peer-facilitated program for families coping with death, separation,

divorce, or abandonment. Programs are available for pre-schoolers, elementary aged children, adolescents, and for single or step parents.

One Family Welfare

Assisting pet owners in crisis situations. 

Programs include the Pet Safekeeping Program, Crisis Care Program, Educational Outreach, resources or referrals. 

Pet Safekeeping Program, through the Alberta SPCA, collaborates with 40+ family violence agencies and over 30 animal care organizations.

Family Connection

A goal of influencing the lives of children and their caregivers, and preservation of the family unit.

Community Group Care is for people 18 and under who have status under the Child, Youth, and Family Enhancement Act. Supervised Access Supports provides court-ordered supervised access. Community Support Work promotes services to assist persons with disabilities towards more self-sufficiency.

Islamic Family and Social Services

Provides culturally and spiritually relevant resources and 7 languages spoken by staff. Programs include: essential services, family and newcomer supports, mental health counselling, support groups, peer mentorship, youth groups, and education/training resources.

Shaama Centre

Services for seniors, women, healthy families, and communities in Millwoods. Classes offered include: english, cooking, computer, exercise, citizenship, crafts, sewing, math and homework. Translation, outreach, and more services are available. 780-465-2992
